He was previously Tax partner at EY Chile (2010-2017), Partner and Head of KPMG Chile Tax Department (2002-2010), Associate to Senior Tax Manager at Andersen Langton Clarke (1995-2002) and worked as independent lawyer specialized in insurance and corporate matters (1992-1995).

LL.B., Universidad de Chile (1992), LL.M. in Tax Management and Planning, Universidad de Santiago de Chile (1996). He also attended a postgraduate Diploma Program in Business Administration, University of California (1998), and holds an LL.M. from the University of California Law School (2001).
